Run My Accounts
Thomas Brändle, managing director and owner of Run my Accounts, a digital accounting company from Stäfa, with more than 70 FTE and 4 locations, is convinced that quality is the only way to success. Thomas has personally worked on the company website and especially on the content for over 10 years. Creating real added value for users is the only leverage in today’s digital age, where half-true and superficial information floods us in every corner.
The website became the center of Run my Accounts’ digital presence and served as a contact point for information for young and old, private and business, when it came to accounting, fiduciary and finance.
Hundreds of articles have been personally created and revised by Thomas over the last 10 years. The topic of website & SEO was never out of place. On the contrary, even in the first meetings, Thommy told us that this was “the boss’s job” and that it would be run by him personally.
Although Run my Accounts AG has generally had positive results in SEO over the years, it has now become clear that its competitors are not asleep and are investing more and more resources in optimizing their digital presence. Especially in the last few years, Run my Accounts visibility has been enormously challenged as Google and SEO in particular have become very important. The corona pandemic and the forced digital transformations have positioned Google (SEO & SEA) and especially sustainable SEO optimization at the top of the priority list.
As in many such cases, the solution is very simple, but not easy. Right from the start, it was about correctly assessing the situation, understanding the needs, structuring insights & data and setting up pragmatic solutions with existing resources (internal & external). As the website structure has continued to grow over the years, the website architecture has been put under a lot of strain. There were an enormous number of folders, URLs and content that no longer fit the company’s current positioning/positioning.
Given these facts, the complexity and size of the project volume, we have decided to first of all conduct a digital marketing workshop so that we can analyze the current situation, historical developments, the current market and the environment, as well as the possibilities and suitable strategies and develop. This would serve as a foundation for cooperation.
For me, it is not only important to understand our customers extremely well, but also their target group. My goal is to understand our customers’ customers so that I can analyze their search behavior and set up the right strategies accordingly.
After two workshop meetings and more than 40 hours of preparatory and follow-up work, we managed to create the right strategy – including a detailed action plan and timeline. Responsibilities were clearly defined, resources were planned correctly, and questions were clarified so that there was clarity for all stakeholders and everyone pulled together.
Through the coordinated SEO measures, improvement of the current current situation, error reduction in internal processes and systems, content optimization including a focus on high-ROI search terms and off-page optimization, we managed to stop the negative trend of SEO development in just a short time.
Within just 6 months, we were able to stop the negative development of the website and build a huge positive trend. + 2,000 new search terms were positioned in this short time and the visibility of the website increased by more than 209%.
